Small Coil Rewinds Pty. Ltd. (Bert Neville) started from a hobby, in 1986 and were incorporated in 1998.

After completing an apprenticeship as a Maintenance Fitter, Bert worked as a motorcycle mechanic (1971 to 1986) with dearlerships in Geelong, moving to Kawasaki Australia in 1986 as the Victorian Service Rep, he was there till they shifted their opperations to Sydney.

Bert was employed at Pratt and Osborne Pty. Ltd. for aprox eight years, they were importing Krober ignitions systems then, he was given the challenge to convert a Eso speedway bike's magneto to work with a Krober Igniter (CDI) unit, it didn't work all that well but it sparked a new career and over time Small Coil Rewinds Pty. Ltd. was born.
